The main source of greenhouse gas emissions comes from transportation in the state of Colorado. Because of this, Going through is determined to to supplye zero emission transport in their service area.
Via has partnered with the City of Boulder to replace 15 diesel buses with electric buses by 2030. Four have already been replaced so far. Another part of the plan is to replace 90 gasoline buses by 2035.
Via has also started to build micro-grid infrastructure at its head office to harness solar energy. Energy will be stored to power the operating facilities and to charge the elelectric fleets, with the aim of providing net zero transit. “We will also help the State of Colorado meet its goal of reducing greenhouse gas pollution by 50% by 2030.”
By donating to Via Net zero fund, you can improve the regional environment.

The Boulder Public Library has partnered with BCycle for their Book a Bike service. Meet at the Boulder County Library front desk and, using a valid adult card, you can borrow a bike in 60 minute increments. Regular and electric bicycles are available.

What should I do to ride a horse?
- Consult the Book A Bike card available at Main library.
- Fill in the User agreement (It may take up to 24 hours to activate the Book A Bike card.)
- Go to any BCycle station (menu).
- Press the silver button on the dock next to the bike you choose to ride and press your card B to release the bike.
- Start riding! (We recommend that you wear a helmet.)
At the end of each ride, return the bike to any Boulder BCycle station by pushing firmly into a free dock until you hear 3 beeps!

CDOT has proposed a new standard to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the transport sector and provide more travel options.
