Protesters who had gathered at Raglan Airfield since January left this morning.
No trespass order was required and no arrests were made.
The group of residents had occupied the airfield since January 2022, to protest against the construction of a fence surrounding the airfield.
Police had been in regular communication with the protest group over the past few weeks and worked with them towards a peaceful resolution.
The police would also like to acknowledge the contribution of a number of people who contributed constructively to the resolution of this case.
We are happy that the occupation of the airfield could be resolved without major problems.
